Read the tire pressure on the tire itself and adjust from there. I think mine were 12-14 lb of pressure if memory serves- Surprised how low. My pick up runs at 80lbs and my cars at 32lbs. Mine are - R1 Ag tires. Look at this calculator: Tire Pressure
and just info: Databook: Agriculture - Titan International
Thanks for the great links! Part of the problem is that there is nothing written on the tire that we can find between 3 people who have all read a lot of tires *insert head scratching here*. The front tires are properly labeled and measured correct at 26 psi.
Like you, I have load-rated truck and horse trailer tires that run, one at 60 psi and one at 80 psi, so that's what I'm used to. Helper/neighbour/guru has low pressure gauges though. I will defeat it this weekend and I WILL be smarter than the tire!!!!
Bird, are you saying that with tractor tires, one SHOULD run at 10-12 psi? This seems odd to me, as I've always figured manufacturer recommendations exist for a reason. I know a softer tire will spread the load (BF's ATV tires practically float on the ground at 2-3 psi!), but I don't want to go to far and damage the wheel or axle. I find it very odd that there is not a recommended PSI in the owner's manual. I'd like to buy the repair manual, but until I've sold the old house and moved everything to the farm, I can spend $0 unless it is necessary for survival, sigh.
Oh, and my random fact loving self says thanks for the beet juice trivia! Cool!
