I bought mine where I bought my winter snow tires (Costco). If you are that cheap, why don't you just change the tires back and forth on the current rims and sensors ? Find out if the truck has to be reprogrammed each time a tire assembly with a different sensor ID is mounted. There still could be some cost involved if so. Costco does this for free. I have a separate set of wheels and Blizzak tires for all 3 vehicles, but the Cadillac has to be reprogrammed each time you change over. Not sure about the '07 Tahoe yet, but I use it so little I will keep the Blizzaks on it year round.

I cant interchange the tires and rims. Summer rims are 22" and winters are 18". The reprogramming maybe an issue for fall and spring, I'll figure that out when time comes I guess.

We replaced some on a Lincoln with ebay units. The programing involved a magnet so I used a old car speaker.

Chris

Chris do you remember how you programmed the tmps with the magnet? I tried without success. Next I'll have to go to a dealer, but I don't like that because then I'll be there every 6 months. I can get to the training mode in the truck but the sensors are not waking up or synchronizing. (3 key cycles, brake, 3 cycles) Thanks for any help.

I think I found a video on U tube that showed how. It was 3 years ago or so.

Sorry

Drive vehicle breifly to awake tpm sensors.Park and Put vehicle in training mode, then go to left front tire remove air quickly until you hear the horn chirp, repeat at right front, right rear, and finally right rear. You will get a double chirp on right rear indicating programming success. Reset proper tire pressures.

Haven't used it yet. I bought this ATEQ Quickset TPMS Reset Tool tool to program my toyota tundra. Not cheap ,but cheaper than toyota wanted to program 1 sensor
