I need a simple, cheap paper towel holder for our covered patio. I can find nothing less than $100 online. Just something to hold a roll of Bounty to use while grilling or potting plants. Anybody know of one?

I make my own out of a piece of 1X6 Oak and an 1and1/4 inch oak dowel. Cut out a square base, run a router around the base, drill it with a 1and1/4 inch Forsner bit, sand, glue and put on some polyurethane. Costs $4 or $5 bucks. Not weather proof, but close. I just take mine into the garage at night. I have a couple extras; drop by and one is yours...no charge.

Just use a mail box. Some are pretty cheap & there are several types to choose from. Lots of people have an old 1 just laying around.

Short pc of 6" PVC pipe with one end cap, and handle screwed to it. Place roll vertical, pipe over roll.

Wouldn't a "weatherproof" "paper towel" holder be an oxymoron???? ;)
