I need a Rototiller for about 2 acres.

I have a 35 hp tractor and need a rototiller. I would like 5' wide and for sure no smaller than 4'.

What brands would work well for me? Can I find something under $1,000.00 hopefully new. Parts are a real concern to me. My ground has few rocks if any but it is heavy soil some clay.

Double that price for new. Plus tax.

Woods and King Kutter work for me, but there are more good brands. Anything that makes contact with the ground better be substantial, speaking from experience. Every time I try and go cheap it bites me.

i just got a 4' Bush Hog brand for $1300. you can find used for under 1000.

just got a King Kutter from Tractor Supply. I got the 4' and I am very happy. The KK is much heavier than some of the other models out there.

The 4 ft. Befco I have is pretty heavy, I think about 350 lbs. Its heavy enough to give my Satoh a fit if you do not use counter weights, but of course the Satoh is a small garden tractor anyway, but great for light work or landscaping.

. I would advise that whatever tiller you end up with make sure that it will till an area wider than your wheel width. Jay

The yellow King Kutter II 5 ft tillers run around 1400 to 1500 and weigh just under 700#. Your tractor could handle that size.
