I need a new mailbox

Our neighbor has one of those boxes with the door on the back, too. Every once in a while I am picking his mail off my lawn, as sometimes the carrier pushes larger stuff in through the front and pops the back door open. :confused2:

jinman's advice about a slight tilt to the front is very good.

A second thing is to mount a piece of 1 x 6, 1 x 8, whatever fits inside the mailbox flat on the bottom of the mailbox. Leaks typically run down and puddle on the floor of the mailbox. The board keeps your mail up and out of the water.
