I-match for 1994 JD 970

   / I-match for 1994 JD 970 #12
If I had to do it over again, I would not buy the i-match. I would still buy a quick attach, but one with an adjustable top portion like the Speeco. The bottom pins from everything I have bought fit the i-match fine. The tops are all over the place with no consistency at all.

If all you have are recent JD/Frontier implements, then the i-match is fine. Otherwise you will need the flexibility of the top link bracket that slides up and down about 5"

If you do get the i-match, expect to pay about $230-250 It is built like a tank.

No matter what brand you get, it is far better than the shove, pull, yank, lift, lower, cuss, pry and hit with a hammer method.

The thing that is not intuitively obvious about I-Match, from reading the glossy brochures or watching the video and the JD store may not mention, is that all the lift points on the I-Match are sized for Cat III. If using Cat I implements, for a proper fit, a bushing kit will be needed for each implement (since the bushings are not real easy to change from one to another) or the pins will need to be changed to Cat III size.

Having done the above, for all practical purposes, then any implement is really only usable on another tractor with I-Match or a Cat III tractor.
