I think the welds look killer. Paint covers all sins, why do you think women wear makeup. Do you have any drawings on the sizes of all the cut pieces. This couldbe my first project for welding class at the community college.

How would the tongue weight raise the 3pt in this case?

Too much weight on the back of the trailer would lift up on the tongue, and most tractors don't have down force on the 3-point arms.

Yes, what Doc Heb said. Most three points can be lowered to a position, but not locked in that position to keep the lower links from raising. Most of the trailer towing attachments I've seen have a chain that runs down to the drawbar.
