Sorry I didn't get back sooner, but I was out of town for the week. Actually what happened is my son had hauled 5 loads of dirt with the single axle dump truck and dumped them so we could build up the road at the toe of the pond dam. He had dumped them too tight on each other and left me with too much material in that particular spot. Once I leveled off the piles I still had too much over the slight slope. So, I backed over the slope and brought some of the excess back up onto the road. The second time I backed over the slope I broke over too fast and skid steer rocked up onto the rear engine compartment door and then did about a 180 degree spin landing on its right side. The reason I had the boom up was that with it down you cannot see the tracks...........and I wanted to see where the tracks were when I broke over the slight slope. I just broke over too fast and all I saw was sky. I actually thought I was going straight over backwards, then it spun to the left and ended up on its side. I reached up and shut off the engine, opened the door. By that time my son was there and I said "I spilled my coffee"

I only got a small cut on the back of my forearm and the skid steer only suffered a broken bushing on the vertical lift linkage.

Below pic: The skid steer was facing toward the grassy slope before the roll over.

Below pic: Attached stretch straps to the skid steer and truck, but the truck could not get enough traction to set the skid steer back on its tracks.

Below pic: Hooking up the JD 3520 made enough difference and we had the skid steer back on its tracks in a couple of minutes.

Sincerely, Dirt

We'll consider that a happy ending. Thanks again for posting this. It's a reminder to us all how fast things can turn on you.

I'll give that a score of 8.4... high difficulty in the routine, nice execution on the pirouette, but you didn't stick the landing. :D

tjkadar, I guess if I could have ended up with the bucket resting on the ground and still sitting on both tracks I might have gotten at least a 9.5. Thanks for the laugh.

Sincerely, Dirt

thats a lot of vision of the tracks you need there.

i wonder that if you had the bucket low it wouldn't have mattered what speed you crowned except for the thump...

all good fun

Well as long as the coffee was the only liquid that was spilt, :) that is good news.

Looks nice out there, how warm is it??

My smart comment is the Cat was inspired by Laugh In's Arte Johnson in his raincoat riding his tricycle and flopping over when he came to a stop.
