this was taken about a mile up the street from my house. I drive by there everyday on my back & forth to work. The pine tree died some time ago, and a recent thunderstorm apparently blew down most of the top. It now has a slight lean going away from the truck, hence the rope tied to the bumper. I can't tell for sure, but I think the only thing endangered is maybe the truck and probably a chainlink fence behind all the dense growth. The truck's been there for about week and a half now. You know what the say about hindsight, but these folks are probably are wishing they had had it cut done not long after died. It looks to be very unstable now, I know I wouldn't want to be within 60 ft of it.

It's a little hard to tell from the pic but it looks to me like the back wheels are dug down a bit...I think they did try to pull it over...the rope looks taut but also a little too short to let the truck out from under the tree top if they had succeeded in pulling it over. Probably wouldn't have been as bad as this one! OOPS!

If that guy didn't get out of the truck when he did it would be one for the Darwin Awards.
I agree Mace. Looks like it's the old 'keep a strain on it till it comes down'.
Gonna be an 'osh!t' moment when it succeedes.
