Attached are images of my '04 DK50 and I currently have a top control, but I want tilt for the gannon box when I am plowing or smoothing out my dirt road. Attached are photos of the hydraulic set up. Tell me what I need to make it happen (and where I should put it). Thanks DK50 Hyd Valve.JPGDK50 Rear Hyd.JPG

It looks like there is another set of remotes on the back of the tractor to the left of the two that are connected to the top link. Looks like there are black covers on them. Why not use those?

If my view of the rear is mistaken and there are only the two ports used for the top link, I think I'd just add a diverter to the existing remotes so you use the same control for top or tilt, just hit the diverter button to choose which. I've never seen a need to adjust both simultaneously where having them as separate functions would be of any benefit.

Nevermind.... I found the thread about fitright.... I try to search before asking questions, but for some reason whenever I do a search either everything comes up, or then I put parenthesis around my term, then nothing comes up. So sorry if I post stuff that has been asked a million times before.... I really AM trying to search out my questions before I ask them.

What is the other set hooked up to? I don't have any extra levers in the cab? I assumed the other two were used as some sort of return line for the backhoe. (Obviously) I have no clue. To the right of the seat are two levers in front of the draft levers. The outside one is for the top adjustment, and it appears the inside lever actually turns on the hydraulics for the top to work. If it is in one position, the top adjustment doesn't work, and in another position the top does work. I'm not quite sure why I need another lever just to turn the hydraulics on to go to the top valve.

"Diverter" I like the sounds of that word. Sounds a lot less expensive than any other hydraulic-related word. I would assume for the "diverter" I would plumb it from the out of the valve then into the diverter and then to the actual cylinders.... Could it be THAT easy?

Yep, basically you plumb it between the valve and your current rear ports. It provides a second set of rear ports. You wire a switch to power and put it on your control. When you use the control normally, the factory rear ports work normally. When you activate the switch and use the control, the new rear ports are what does the work.

Not sure I get that.
There are 2 set of rear remotes on the back of the tractor, I can see the pipes going in toward the remote valve.
Sounds like you have 2 full sets of remote valves and levers.
Why one would need to be turned on to make the other work I have no idea, but that's not right.

So, if I were to put something like that in....it appears there are several sizes of diverter valves (port-wise). Is it smarter to buy a diverter with- say- one more port than I would expect to need? In other words, if I bought a double diverter, could I add to it in the future, or would it be better to buy a 3 port just in case? At one point in time, I was thinking it would be pretty cool to plumb in a spare 12,000 lb milemarker 2 speed hydraulic winch to the back of the tractor, and I assume the diverter port could be used for that too? What is the thinking for how many diverter ports to put in? Inquiring minds want to know.

Very first thing to do, plug your top link into the other 2 ports and see what happens when you use that lever.

Go from there.

Yep.

Maybe the second valve is a SCV and when he detents it and it stays there it puts the pump in bypass so the other remote won't work???

Not much to go on from the description. Your suggestion will answer a lot of questions. :)
