Before you turn it in could you take some pics?
Would like to see it.

Good news, I went to the dealer this morning and the part is under warranty. They are going to have to order it, but they say they will request rush shipping, and I should have it by tomorrow or Wednesday. The parts manager said he has never seen that happen before.

Now that I have some time, I'm going to go out to the barn and go over all related parts and make sure I didn't miss any other damage. :)

That's one of the reasons I buy Kubota. No trying to pass the buck or blame the owner. Sure, it was likely more operator error than not but Kubota will fix the problem and that's the end of the story. No brand bashing or any of that and Kubota is the hero for doing what needed to be done. Your dealer sounds like the right kind of dealer to have.

Update.

I looked over the situation more carefully and found that the 1/2" diameter rod that also moves when the hitch is activated, was wrapped almost 1/3 of the way around the shaft that supported the arm that it connects to on the front. I called the dealer and they are going to order it also. He also told me that if I have any problem putting it back together they will send a mechanic down to do it for me.

The dealer requested that I leave the part with them, as I assume they will have to turn it in for warranty. I did take 2 pictures of it, and when I can find the time, I'll post them here. Having Hughes net for an email means everything takes ten times longer than it should.:thumbdown:

Well that wasn't bad, it only took me a little over an hour to try to post it on my Imgur account, that failed, so I tried my old account with Photobucket, and we'll see if that actually works again. SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE,:)

The part sticking up in the upper left, should be perpendicular to the flat part of the center section. The bend starts right behind the hole in the middle of the picture.

Interesting. Boy you hit it good to bend that.

x2 on the dealer!

My local Kubota dealer rocks too.

You know why they do that?! Because they figure it is easier to keep a customer coming back to buy more tractors, parts, and implements. Win/win situation.

It's funny, I've been doing online tractor shopping to upgrade from my BX, but everything comes back to a Kubota and that great experience I had back when we bought the BX2200.

Update: My lift arm came in today, but the rod won't be in until tomorrow. :(

No point in driving all the way up there twice, so I'll wait.

My other part came in today, and this afternoon I re-assembled the tractor, then compared the 2 sides. That's when I noticed that the right side arm had a slight bend in it also. I think I'm just going to adjust the linkage to take up the difference. I hate to bother the dealer again, they've been very good to me so far, and I don't want to abuse the privelage. :)

BTW I finished the grass down the road, now it looks like I'm going to have to start all over again around the house.

When I have something that good happen I usually tip the shop guys $10 or $20. It's a nice gesture and is way less than you would have spent. Lots of good will and when I go in with a problem now they are on it and I am out the door ASAP with problem solved. Just my two cents.

I did all the labor in my barn, no shop guys involved. I only talked to the service manager and then dealt with the parts dept. The service manager was funny. He said I've been working here over 25 years and your the first guy that ever came in that knew the model number of his equipment and the right part number. I told him I used to be a parts manager at a Chevy dealer. Then he said "well that explains it". :D
