You are on the right track. Brian had the correct answer. If you measure and lay out the posts on the ground and have everything ready you could easily drill all 120 holes in a day with a skid steer mounted auger with the correctly sized bit. I like to drill a hole 4" in diameter then the post you are using. Gives room to plumb. Some like larger to get a tamping bar in (rather than a shovel handle) and that takes a hole 6" wider than the post. Just mark the bit for the whole depth and go for it. They are very easy to operate once you learn the controls. on the hills, drill from uphill - let the auger float to get plumb.
My tamping tool was a long replacement shovel handle I got at the hardware store. I got and extra long one and used the rounded end. look for one with tight grain made of hickory or oak - not ash.

PS: also talk with your neighbors as some may have the set up, or know of someone. Also check with the contractor you mentioned, or others and get a hole only price. may be cheaper than renting. They should be able to get 15 to 20 holes an hour if they are good.
