I have a ford 600, the distributor is stuck wont turn or come out.

Does anyone know how I can free my frozen or stuck distributor?

There is an o'ring seal on the distributor flange below the hold down bolt. With the distibutor hold down clamp and bolt removed, keep trying to rotate the distributor. Once you get some rotating movement, start trying to pull the distributor up and out. Any reason in particular you are trying to remove the distributor?

The timing needs to be adjusted, it looks like its set for 2 degrees, that was my goal. It is not turning.
This morning I removed the hold down clamps and added liquid wrench. I will see if that works.

Just have to get distributor to rotate to adjust timing, to need to remove it. If you remove it, you will have to mark both the distributor housing and the rotor positon to install correctly. Is the small clip still in place above the dust cover under your distributor cap? The clip is easy to miss place when removing the dust cover.

I was able to get it loose, several applications of Liquid Wrench and tapping.
