It is nice to not have to decipher what someone is trying to say. What irks me is when people try to tell people how to do things when they don't know themselves. That doesn't help anyone. Making a suggestion is one thing but there's times when the info given is horribly wrong and could result in someone getting seriously injured or something is destroyed.

While I agree that readability is important, sloppy writing helps me get through all the mail faster: if it's mumbo jumbo I just hit delete and move on. If the writer doesn't take the effort to write clearly, I just skip it.

I disagree, If you can make out what the person is typing that's all that matters. This is a forum not a language class. Some here are old farmers with not a lot of typing skills.

I agree with you.

And as we age, and work around farm machinery, some of us aren't equipped as well with the required appendages to operate a keyboard.

Hey, doing the best I can........ :D

I'm new to TBN, but the OP's comments pretty much apply across the Internet boards I've visited. Rmk700's point on typing skills is well taken, and it's not just old farmers, or old anyone for that matter. But that doesn't prevent taking a few moments to proofread before posting. :)

This (TBN) is the greatest collection of creative, helpful, experienced people I have ever found. I would appreciate it if all TBNers used proper english and punctuation, but I will settle for whatever they can offer because I want their opinions. If the notes get really bad, we each have the option of skipping reading them (and I do skip any that have no caps and no punctuation). Thanks.
