I have a Allis Chalmers 170 that is leaking oil into the water and vs.

My Allis Chalmers 170 is leaking water into the oil and oil into the water. the block has a freeze crack in it from when the previous owner had it. I put a new head gasket in it and I also put radiator stop leak in. that stopped the leak in the side of the engine block and it stopped leaking water into the oil for a wile but now the internal leak has started again. dose any one have any suggestions for what i could do or what the problem might be.

The freeze crack appears to be more serious than the stop leak can handle. You will have to find where the leak is to determine if repair is possible. This may require a tear down to find.

Others on here may have more experience with this type of leak.

Does 170 have same 226 cu in 4 cyl that d17 had? Those engines used wet sleeves. The sleeve is sealed to block with an Oring on bottom and permatex sealant.
