I have a 2006 M7040 4WD and some of the dash advisory lights are not hooked up

I agree...if my dash were defective, I'd be PO'd, but everything works as it should, and the 7040 is a dream....I would not look forward to spending the extra $ on a JD just for the lack of a few led's when you can glance down Re: the 4wd/ebreak. The new direct inj. engine more than makes up for it...is the JD engine on the same level? good luck bb

I don't think it's "defective". It's just that the early models didn't have those lights installed.

My understanding is that it's the 4WD indicator light and the preheat glowplug light that are not hooked up. I don't think there are any M7040s that have a warning light for the parking brake. Mine doesn't have a parking brake warning light but the preheat coil light and 4WD indicator light work fine. I could be wrong though.

BTW, I absolutely love my M7040. Have 53 hours on it now.
