I bought this motor
Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices
It has a 9/ 16 inch shaft.
Around here all the pulleys I have found have a 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch shaft size spec.
I had to put a 1/2 shaft size pulley on it, so I set it on the vice, and ran it,I used a very rough rasp file to it as the shaft turned, and shaved off some of the shaft.
This took awile, and I finally got t small enough, so I could get the pulley on it.
Anyway, I have also done searching and dont seem to find any other motors with a 9/16 inch shaft. I wonder if its an error in the standard and thats why Harbor Freight ended up with them?
Has anyone had a similiar experience?
Thanks,
Allan
