I am glad you have been promoted to thread coroner

This thread is just as alive as it was the first day.

Agreed, unless Eddie says it has drifted off beyond what he felt when he initiated it or moss shuts it down, it is a very viable thread

Thank you Eddie for starting this thread as it is the elephant in the room for all of us.

   / I got the Covid #385
The full context would be to provide the CDC page it appeared on.

You didn't do that.

I posted the full context of what I posted. If you require more information, I suggest you look it up yourself.
Not my job to feed you the information you desire
What I and some others posted wasn't specifically posted for your pleasure

A moderator should never feed an argument. Moss allows himself to participate. Thread survives as long as he accepts the opposing opinions. When he no longer does the thread gets locked.

Eddie knew how this thread would go. I'm still glad he started it. Several members that have been thru Covid have participated. I believe that was the intent.

Maybe if our Moderator didn't throw gas on the argument fires we would still be talking to those members.

I totally agree. When it went from the original post to who should wear a mask and why.. I knew it was going to be a head butting thread.
I'm not the one that started the mask thread. But I wasn't going to sit by and listen to people bash those of for not wearing mask..

I'm not going to comment any further in this head butting contest. I'm done !

I am certainly willing to wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash my hands frequently..........just not forever!

   / I got the Covid #388
The most significant factor concerning masks is...regardless of whether they are protecting the wearer or others...the fact is they are intended to trap or prevent droplets from entering the body...therefore the act of just touching a mask is as significant as wearing one...if they are working they are contaminated...possibly with concentrated amounts of droplets containing the virus...
...Almost everyone you see wearing a mask touches it often constantly especially when eating or drinking etc...if peeps washed their hands every time they touched their masks there would be water shortages...!
So in some ways masks can actually contribute to the spread of the virus...exactly the opposite of its intentions...!

I absolutely agree.

Deadly virus' are a threat to all species that cannot rid themselves of it.

I don't know the numbers but I'll take a wild guess and say 99% of the human population cannot avoid close contact with another human. So by simple mathematics they are screwed if the virus is viral enough.

As child, I had hay fever pretty bad every year ... a couple of relatives had it even worse ... to the point of seeing an allergy specialist and being medicated for it.

As an adult, I've largely outgrown it ... go figure ... :confused3:

Seems like I can still catch a few days every year though, where I get to sneezing pretty good.

Sure RS . . . my brother (11 months older) always had hay fever when it was baling time . . .

This has turned into a rerun of the threads Corona virus #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, and #11 which were all closed for some of the same things that are being repeated here. I think that the moderators are going out of their way trying to keep this thread open because of its original intent.

Because Eddie didn't start this thread to hear people rehash all the same bull that closed down the previous threads. Why can't those who wish to argue the subject open their own threads to discuss the subject until it gets closed instead of bringing another thread off topic to get it closed.
:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Let's all pray for Eddie and his quick recovery, but this thread is DOA... :confused3:
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I scan this thread daily for Eddie's posts. About 20 out of about 400.

This is becoming a "friendly politics" thread.

Get well soon Eddie!

LOL ... might be a different kind of hay "fever" than the one I'm talking about ...

My wife & just I had the covid test at Kroger pharmacy. It's a blood test (Lancet finger blood drop), results took 15 minutes. $25.
Report was negative and said antibody test shows we never had it (some have it without symptoms). I'll be so happy when 93 yo Mom gets vaccinated and we do also.

Was this a kit you take home or was it an in-pharmacy PA, like a minute clinic, who did the test on you?
I was sick as all get out, but did what my mother taught me, stayed home (well, I plowed snow, but alone in truck) and remembered the old saying “coughs and sneezes spread diseases”.
Im curious if I had it....

I saw that at our Kroger Pharmacy as well the other day. Had to pick up a script for myself. Same deal, 25 bucks and results in 15 minutes. Not sure if it's just an antibody test or a Covid test however.

Like I said earlier both of us tested negative (nasal swab) in the hospital.

I'll be glad when we can get vaccinated as well.

Get well soon Eddie!

Plus one on that and everyone else who is impacted with it as well. I don't wish it on anyone.

I would think there are even some of the OTHER than 70 million people who are seeing past WAPOs BS

Nice of you WAPO readers to keep us updated. That's the Washington on the East Coast, right? I suppose it's important to you politicians. I have never seen a copy.

The problem with "both of us tested negative" is,...... it is in the past tense.
You could both contract the virus the following week.
