I have an old M4500, that has been sitting in the weeds for 10 years. You can imagine what it looked like, all flat tires, weeds up through the engine compartment, san/mud everywhere, cob webs, you get the picture.
A guy was on my property and asked about buying it ( after I stopped laughing ) I said Uh well, Hmmm, lemme see.
I told him let me pull it out of the mud and fill the tires up, and I'll give you a call.
I put a battery in it, filled up the tires, pressure washed it, and you guessed it - it fired right up and purred like a kitten.
I should have filmed it for a Kubota commercial.
I must have stood there for 15 minutes with my jaw on my chest staring at that beauty with the engine purring.
Don't ask me how or why, it just did.
Now I have to rethink selling that beauty.

It's amazing how diesels will start. I have seen old diesels that are gas over diesel that have set for years. When the gas part gets fixed so that it will work, the diesel change over works perfect. Now that it started and before its run anymore, drain the tank and refill with fresh diesel before the slug that forms gets to the injector pump.

Let's see some pictures of it! Where else are you going to find a bunch of people that think a negelcted 10 year old tractor is pretty?

Why was it sitting there for all those years? Did you park it, or is it something you inherited when you bought the land?

Congrats of your good fortune!!!

Why was it sitting there for all those years?

I sent it in to the dealer to fix the front axel, and he qoted with a signed contract that it would NOT cost more than $500.00. Then he called and said it would now be $1000.00 to fix it, I said, nope you said $500.00, he said take it or leave it. I said, I won't pay that, he said OK, $750.00 to put it back together for me to ick it up. That was the last conversation I had, so it sat on his lot for two years, in the meantime I came to this site in 1999, and learned about the 4310, and bought it.
The dealer called a year after I had my tractor and said he was going to sell it if I did not pay the bill - I said " see you in court".
I sued him for $2,600.00 ( I paid a tilling company that to till my land while he held my tractor hostage).
Judge saw it my way and made him pay me $2,600.00. When it came time for hime to pay me and deliver my tractor, he still wanted the $750.00.
I wrote a letter to the judge, the next day he showed up with full payment and I didn't have to pay him a dime.
SOOOOOO, the M4500, just sat because I was using the 4310.
AND NOW.............YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY.
I'll take some pictures today.

N80
Actually - it's a neglected 30 year old tractor, best I figure it's an 80's vintage.

That's a great story about the tractor starting up :), an even better story of you going after that scumbag dealer, and an even better story of our justice system actually administering justice and teaching him a lesson.

That story alone is worth keeping it. Once it's gone, it's gone...and so is the cash.

How about a few pics please? Just like she sits!!!....

Never needed or wanted a dime from that scum dealer, I just wanted to bust his chops, for making my life miserable. So I took the check cashed it and sent it off to a cahrity.

You HAVE to fix & keep that tractor now. It's begging for a second chance. And yes, send pics of it in all the weeds.
