The tractor came in on a semi but we had to have a towing company come in to drive it on a towing truck Once driven on the towing truck they let it down and the truck driver drove it down to the front of my house and that cost 100 bucks just to drive on the tow truck and get it off the semi. From my front yard to my house is well over a 1/4 mile down into my small valley.

My wife made a video and posted it on you tube but for some reason I can not open it up it keeps saying no permission.

Tomorrow I will start up the tractor after reading all the manuals but I still need to figure out how to work the backhoe. It will take me a few days to learn again how to drive a tractor and when I think it is safe I will hook up a 72" Ratchet Rake to the FEL if the weather permits. My first task is clear out a burn pit and I will take before and after photo's if I can remember how to post them again. Remember I am a new rookie here so maybe I was lucky posting the photo's of my new tractor. You folks are invited to take the journey with me as I clean some land and I will post photos as I go along.

Let the tractor fun... er, I mean work... begin!

Being ex-military I know that you'll take your time, slow & steady, and do it safely.

We really are interested in seeing the pictures of your progress. It's a somewhat unique thing about the people here on TractorByNet. :confused3:

I just can't even imagine why anyone send a tractor to a residence on a trailer that didn't tilt for unloading if there wasn't an elevated area that the truck could back up to too offload. Did they ask you what you had available to unload the tractor before they sent it? Oh by the way you did good having the proper equipment there to offload!

The tractor came from Minnesota and the day before it arrived the truck driver said I would need a tow truck to off load it. A few days before that my brush/bush hog was sent down from Minnesota but when it made it to Atlanta they called me saying that I would have to pay a lift fee that was 85 bucks. When my hog got to my house they just wheeled to the end of the truck and sat it on the ground but it is going to take time before I can use the hog.

Congrats on the new tractor. The canopy will help keep the Alabama Sun away. I think it would be nice if manufactures would start providing a canopy that could be swiveled when using the backhoe. I don't know about others but my head gets hot from the sun beating down when working on a large stump extraction, or digging a long trench.
