John Deere 4110 HST
Well. not having a problem getting the 4100 fixed that the dealer didn't want to do what he said he would, with the bad tires. I bought a new 4110, and got it this after noon. Only has 1.4 hours on it, so it hasn't even been tried out by others. I found out the folding ROPS are taller than the non folding though, I had to fold them to put it in my garage. Not sure why they aren't straight up though, instead of that angle. I guess Deere knows what they are doing, but I think other brands aren't like that.

Great that you joined the club. I'm sure you'll love it. What did you get on it? FEL? Mower? etc?

Actually, that seems a little low for a tested machine, but your dealer may be efficient in their testing use of a running machine.

I have the "Tall folding ROPS" because of the backhoe. Make sure you have a technique for remembering to fold it back down BEFORE you enter the garage.

I think it's so you can rotate the ROPS up, then walk around and put in the pins without the likelyhood of it falling on your head even if your on a little bit of a slope. It's secure while you put in the pins.

I just bought the tractor alone.. I have a bush hog, scraper blade, pond scoop, and boon pole. I didn't get a fel, as I just don't have much use for one. I know I would find some use for it, if I had one. But my money is a little short to have something just set there most of the time. As I'm on S.S. and 72 years old. I am still thinking of getting a carry all, and a box blade. My scraper blade does pretty good, but I think the box would be a lot better getting the gravel back up the hill it washes down.

Dick,
Congratulations on the new tractor. I am sure that it will work out well for you. Have to learn what all those different buttons, switches and levers are for now.

Thanks Jerry, yes it is a little different, after always using gear type of tractor. But its a nice difference, I like it. I may be wrong, but it would seem you would never lug it, with a hydro, as long as you were running it at high enough revs.
