Kioti CK20S HST
So I'm looking for something.. I can't remember what now .... and bang! There's my camera. I ran out and took a pic of the tractor. I'll get some more when the weather's a bit better and I'm not working. :)

It's the CK20s HST with the Kioti 2465 Hoe. The bucket on the front is a HLA attached via QA.

Nice setup there. But, it's too clean. Wish I had gotten a QA adapter. Does that skidsteer bucket dig better than the the standard bucket?

I couldn't say because I never used the standard bucket. Rick swapped out the bucket as part of the deal.

I do know it digs no where as nice as a skid steer.

I meant compared to mine. I know you were disappointed in how mine dug.

I like the way the skidsteer buckets are flat almost all the way to the back of the bucket. It would seem to be easier to get a nice flat dig with it compared to the short flat area and curved back of mine.

Nice setup! It looks like they changed the seat a little, maybe time for me to trade in for a new one...

You will love it, and be amazed at what you can do with it. Mine still amazes me just about every time i use it.

You know I feel like it digs much better, but it might be in my head. When I was on yours I was nervous because I wasn't familiar with it. With my CK, I feel way comfortable. Fact is, I can dig almost as well as I do when I'm in a skidsteer.

The only problem I have is with breakout force. I hope I'm using the correct term. I seem to get to right into the dirt and can't break it out, when it's packed. What I do then is just back out, hit the pile a bit to break it up some. Once that's done, I can pick up the heap without a problem.

The problem I might be having with breakout is because the QA puts the bucket further forward and the bucket itself is deeper and wider. The deeper (as in front to back) bucket causes more leverage which doesn't allow me to curl the packed dirt.

So far, I haven't had any problems with lifting whatever I can get into it. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's stone, dry/wet dirt or compost.

Nice tractor! Post more pics :)

Without knowing how deep you're digging with the bucket/toothbar, i'd say that you're doing the right thing -- dig till it stops, backup a little then plow back in to break it up/or less of a bite. Our CUTS are fine tools, they just take a little longer than bigger equipment to do the jobs. You're gonna' have fun with it
