Cause I try and I try and I try and I try! -

Try to get grease into the blasted fittings on the front axel bracket group. There are two fittings labeled 4 & 15 in the accompanying illustration that need to be greased. When I attempt to do so neither will accept any. When I unscrew the fittings there is grease present in the joint and I can easily push grease through the fittings while they are out. When reinstalled though nothing move in and the grease will eventually push out from the grease gun / fitting connection. I do not see any grease emanating from any of the machined surface that makes up the assembly. Any insight as to how to get this connection greased and where the overflow grease should be seen would be appreciated.

They are a pain in the butt...
Try putting the loader on the ground and push the front wheels off the ground and pump grease into the grease fittings as you pivot the axel.

Just as Wallace suggested. I had the same problem you are having and lifting the wheels off the ground solved the problem.

Plus 3 to the others. I have the same issue. Apparently there is some positive pressure in these assemblies and that takes them of. Im guessing that this is air/water tight and when you lifit it up it changes that. Dunno but it works

Good to know! Thanks Rick!

I had not forced the issue, I had just thought they were full and didn't want to ruin any seals, will get to this asap!

Thanks to all that replied, I tried the suggestion but still no success. The front end is very tight and does not rock back and forth very easily. Since there is presently grease in the joints and it does not appear to be exiting anyplace I can detect, I am going to just ignore this until the next time I do a lubrication. Hopefully as it wears in (200hrs now) this will improve. I may try on the next lubrication to see if I remove one grease fitting and lubricate the other if the grease will work its way completely through the joint, although it wouldn稚 seem that they would put one on each end if it was open completely through.

Same problem here w/ that same zerk -- a real pain to get grease in that and ripped my hand to pieces pulling the tip off the zerk...

But, worse for me is my grease gun tip on the Kioti zerks (especially loader zerks recessed in the pivot pins and such) when I push the gun tip onto the zerk and hold it on tight so grease goes into the zerk, all is well.

I need to attach the hose to another tractor and pull it w/ the other tractor to get the gun tip to remove (or it seems that way).

In reality I have to pull with two hands, and skin my hands or knuckles on some metal part of the tractor trying to pull the tip off. I'm afraid I'll break some zerks and have been gun-shy on using the grease gun because of this.

Anyone have a link or part number to a "sure to work" quality grease gun tip that I can use w/ stock kioti zerks that will make like easier?

I have two grease guns -- one my brother gave me I don't know who makes it with rubber hose making it tough to hold the hose and pump grease. If I put it on the zerk and done put positive pressure on the hose and hold it perfectly straight on the zerk, grease wants to go everywhere but into the zerk.

My other gun I bought new from northern tool and equipment... it's blue and has a hose and solid metal tube and tip that might be easier. It's pistol grip figuring it'd be easier than hose to hold and pump grease. Terrible to try and remove tip from Kioti zerks.

All tips and suggestions of a good grease gun and tip to use would be greatly appreciated.

I grease when the grandsons come to visit. I hold the tip on the zerk and they pump the gun.

malk315, I have an air operated gun that I purchased from tractor supply co. for around $30.00. It works real well on most of the fittings, except those mentioned before. The key for me is to clean out all the gunk around the fittings and then hold the grease gun tip straight in the fitting while squeezing the trigger. As I stated it works real well on most of the fittings, a couple are real finicky but doable without any bloodshed. IMHO air power is the way to go.

Why not replace the zerk fittings. Also ; wow thick is the housing on the axle? I have seen where the zerk fitting actually is so close to the component that it will not accept grease unless you grind off a little material from the zerk fittting threads.

go to NAPA and buy another zerk adapter for the grease gun. The extremely close tolerances of the adapter and a little bit of dirt will cause them to be difficult to put on or take off. The better ones can be taken apart and cleaned or adjusted. but for me it is easier to buy a new one.

The grease gun tip I use is adjustable, it helps, but there are still times when it gets stuck.

Since it is so tight, I would take the front pivot apart and clean it out.
I have not taken my CK's pivot apart, but it looks way easier than the
JD I had to fix. The JD's pivot was not getting grease and it rusted
and wore out. A PITA to fix.

I had the same problem. HAD...It just seems to have all of a sudden began to accept the grease. On the loader zerks, I blow the dirt off with air (stand aside when you do this or you will not be allowed in the house without an inspection) and my air gun from Harbor Freight works fine. cheers

AH! Ease is in the eye of the beholder. I can "easily" :p see where I could get myself into serious trouble engaging in this kind of activity. It is a notch above my skill and ambition level. I did consider loosening bolt #5 in the diagram to see if that would help the grease to ooze out of the assembly, but I can imagine that additional slack would allow too much movement and excessive wear on those parts as well. Catch22. I am done for the season so I will attempt again in the spring to see if the grease will flow through if one of the fittings is removed. If anyone is still at it perhaps they could give it a try and see if that works. :) Thanks.
