Don't try to heat a full can of oil. Remove some first to avoid spills.

I don't think you can even buy it in a steel can any more so you would have to use an old sauce pan or coffee pot. Cars today with computerized fuel injection and multi viscosity oils almost never need such extreme measures. Now if I could just keep the tractor from jelling up I'd be all set. A nice barn / workshop with a wood stove in it might be just the thing.

Well you might heat some oil with a microwave but that is no replacement for a nice warm shop with a fridge full of beer and a dart board.
