I bought the ubiquitous Carry-All

I enjoyed seeing the modifications to the Leinbach Carry All. We have been carrying the Leinbach full line of tractor implements for over 40 years, and have it available for purchase online, and we have a massive free shipping zone.

If anyone has any questions about these products, don't hesitate to call or email.

Nice! we need that tomorrow, I'm helping my old timer buddy drag some trees/logs out of the woods, he just has a flat little platform on the back of his old Ford and we need to carry chain saw and fuel etc, chains/ropes, me. It's pretty far away from his barn so it will be a pain if we have to go back for something.

JB.

Thanks Scot and JB-- I will try to post some more pictures this weekend
Basically it is a 2"x 8" subframe, decked with 2"x 8" carriage bolted to the carryall frame. The casters are 4" cast iron rubber coated HF jobs. The walls are scrap whatever dimension with 1/2 in plywood centres with the front wall bolted to the carryall frame and the sidewalls anchored with metal L brackets at the front. The gate is just scrap 2" x 4" with rack holders and stake pockets. The tool holders are 1.5 or 2" abs or conduit fastened on with conduit straps. It is 4' x 5' so I can load 4' pieces of wood for later blocking into 16" firewood. I know - a picture is worth a thousand words so I will try and show more detail in the next ones

Wow, been travelling for a while & haven't been able to reply. Now that Leinbach one looks pretty nice, in particular the triangular rack that would stiffen the lower platform support considerably. But I already have the TSC version, which is made mostly from 3 x 3 x 1/4" angle.

Studor's is the closest to what I was considering. And I figure the solid sides would gve me the ability to haul other bulk stuff like leaves, grass clippings, etc. - which led to my next thought - why not hinge it in the back and make it "dumpable"? a safety chain could keep it from going too far. I'm moving to final design stages now, if I can get one of the fab shops we work with to weld up a hinge plate for the bottom, I'm good to go.

But in typical "engineer" fashion (hopeless dweeb, as my kids say), I measured the frame up and threw it into the idiot box (computer) and sure enough: TSC changed the position of the lower hitch pin holes so that they can use the same piece for both sides - both holes are 15.5" from the end of the vertical 3 x 3 angle. Which means I'll probably have to get the shop to drill another hole for where I want my pins to go...

Thanks all,

Tom
