WOW is right. Too many people posting BS without any factual basis, then hoards of cool-aide drinkers citing the information as the gospel. Top that off with with others like yourself who then come to their defense and you have the makings of a clueless, uninformed population.

I'm not sure the agricultural industry in this country needs a populace that attacks the mode of transportation they rely upon to get their products to international markets. Maybe sailboats are the answer?

Thanks! You've been very helpful!

Congratulations, that's a nice looking tractor. Once I pay of my wifes mini van I'm going to get serious about buying a tractor with a cab. I go back and forth between new and used, and then used and used before all the Tier 4 smog stuff. Two year old tractors seem to have that sweet spot in pricing, where they have depreciated as much as they are going to for the hours used, but still new enough to not be worn out. Every now and then I'll see a 2012 or older tractor with a less then a thousand hours on it that catches my attention. I'm also hoping that by the time I'm ready to buy, Tier 4 will be worked out like the car industry finally did with gas engines.

I don't know if they'll have them figured out,or not. There are many more car, truck owners than tractor owners. So they probably worked a little harder at getting them straighten out.

We were at a pumpkin ride with the grand kids yesterday. They have a wagon pulled by a tractor. People/ kids ride out to a pumpkin patch, pick out a pumpkin, and ride back, pay for the pumpkin.

Anyway, I was talking to the guy driving the tractor ( new JD 85 HP) We were discussing the DEF, DPF. he said the owner (not him ) never knew it took DPF. he said it has a engine light on.
I told him it's because he's putting around on the tractor pulling trailers full of kids, and these emissions tractors weren't meant to do that.
His response.. "that's nuts" I said, ''I agree" but that's your Government for ya !

These used tractors around me are getting hard to find. I have been looking for months.
There are plenty of newer DEF , DPF tractors with low hrs for sale, and I have a good idea why.. (problems)

When I found this one, I was on it. went to the dealer and told him to get it ready. I want it

I really like the shift on this. Start out in 1 and shift on the fly from 1,2,3. Push a button on the shifter and it engages the clutch so you can change ranges

Looks like a nice tractor, enjoy it.
Especially with the lack of government mandated emission crap.

Neighbor of mine just bought the same tractor. I believe he said it has 1200hrs. He's a cattle rancher. He'll work it daily. He's a bit abusive. I'm anxious to see how he gets along with it.

Congrats on your purchase. Hope it serves you well.

So again, what exactly did I post was ********? If I am wrong about my statement, I sure would like to be educated so that I don稚 go through as a rube.

The incorrect statement was "All of the cruise ships and container ships have zero diesel regulations." Ship emissions (sulfur oxides and nitrous oxides) have been regulated by the International Maritime Organization since 1997, and have gradually tightened since then. Until recently, engine manufacturers were able to meet standards by fiddling with the combustion (much like happened here through EPA Tier 3), but the most recent NOx standard from 2016 has led things like EGR systems to show up, and the SOx standards have meant that exhaust scrubbers have been developed to remove SOx compounds and particulate matter from exhaust. Sulfur standards will get even stricter next year when a new global cap for fuel sulfur content will be enacted (and in certain areas there is already a lower ceiling), which has led to much headache among operators and a great deal of interest in using natural gas instead of bunker fuel.

been looking for some time now. I finally bought this beast yesterday
CX105
I bought used . Didn't want the issues that come with these emissions tractors

That is a big machine. I sometimes wish I had not bought a Tier IV tractor due to the current problems that I am having with it.

Well I really only wanted a 70hp. but the 70 hp non emissions tractor I found was more expensive than the 105 hp..
So, it was a no brainer
Buy you are correct. It is a BIG tractor ! I can almost driver my mx5100 kubota LOL

I was just notified that ships (vessels) would be required to decrease emissions and cargo fees will be going up in November.
