Congratulations, that's a nice looking tractor. Once I pay of my wifes mini van I'm going to get serious about buying a tractor with a cab. I go back and forth between new and used, and then used and used before all the Tier 4 smog stuff. Two year old tractors seem to have that sweet spot in pricing, where they have depreciated as much as they are going to for the hours used, but still new enough to not be worn out. Every now and then I'll see a 2012 or older tractor with a less then a thousand hours on it that catches my attention. I'm also hoping that by the time I'm ready to buy, Tier 4 will be worked out like the car industry finally did with gas engines.
I don't know if they'll have them figured out,or not. There are many more car, truck owners than tractor owners. So they probably worked a little harder at getting them straighten out.
We were at a pumpkin ride with the grand kids yesterday. They have a wagon pulled by a tractor. People/ kids ride out to a pumpkin patch, pick out a pumpkin, and ride back, pay for the pumpkin.
Anyway, I was talking to the guy driving the tractor ( new JD 85 HP) We were discussing the DEF, DPF. he said the owner (not him ) never knew it took DPF. he said it has a engine light on.
I told him it's because he's putting around on the tractor pulling trailers full of kids, and these emissions tractors weren't meant to do that.
His response.. "that's nuts" I said, ''I agree" but that's your Government for ya !
These used tractors around me are getting hard to find. I have been looking for months.
There are plenty of newer DEF , DPF tractors with low hrs for sale, and I have a good idea why.. (problems)
When I found this one, I was on it. went to the dealer and told him to get it ready. I want it
I really like the shift on this. Start out in 1 and shift on the fly from 1,2,3. Push a button on the shifter and it engages the clutch so you can change ranges
