So why are they forcing all this crap on perfectly EFFICIENT engines like cars and tractors?

Remember, We live in the land of the ''FREE'', Where the Government regulates everything in our lives !

The messed up thing about all this emissions crap is that if you outright banned every single land based Diesel engine for the entire world, you would only decrease emissions by 1% world wide.

Show us the data and/or study that illustrates this.

All of the cruise ships and container ships have zero diesel regulations. So why are they forcing all this crap on perfectly EFFICIENT engines like cars and tractors?

LOL.......what is perfectly EFFICIENT?

YOU ARE FLAT OUT LYING!! Nothing more disgusting that someone who posts BS without any facts. Simply Google "Alaska 18 AAC 50.070" and you'll be proven wrong.

I specifically stated the large cargo carriers and cruise ships. Sure, a lot of our states regulate Diesel engines, marine and otherwise. But take a look worldwide. Ever wonder why most if not all cruise ships are not registered with the us while a majority of their business is done here? It’s to escape these regulations, and they can pollute as much as they want on the oceans.

The average cruise ship require gallon of fuel every 51 feet traveled. Regarding the Diesel engine being an ‘efficient’ engine, I stand by that. Name a more efficient engine that can be easily scaled?

Here is a pretty good article that provides a lot of the data I was trying to communicate, I guess I failed.

Big polluters: one massive container ship equals 5 million cars

Congratulations, that's a nice looking tractor. Once I pay of my wifes mini van I'm going to get serious about buying a tractor with a cab. I go back and forth between new and used, and then used and used before all the Tier 4 smog stuff. Two year old tractors seem to have that sweet spot in pricing, where they have depreciated as much as they are going to for the hours used, but still new enough to not be worn out. Every now and then I'll see a 2012 or older tractor with a less then a thousand hours on it that catches my attention. I'm also hoping that by the time I'm ready to buy, Tier 4 will be worked out like the car industry finally did with gas engines.

WOW is right. Too many people posting BS without any factual basis, then hoards of cool-aide drinkers citing the information as the gospel. Top that off with with others like yourself who then come to their defense and you have the makings of a clueless, uninformed population.

I'm not sure the agricultural industry in this country needs a populace that attacks the mode of transportation they rely upon to get their products to international markets. Maybe sailboats are the answer? 😀

What ******** did I post? All I said was that all the Diesel regulations for all land based engines don’t mean squat because all of the marine based engines (cruise ships, tankers, cargo ships, etc) put soo much pollution into the air that regulating a tractor or car does nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I also linked an article, did you read it or was it ******** as well?

So again, what exactly did I post was ********? If I am wrong about my statement, I sure would like to be educated so that I don’t go through as a rube.

They’re only about 50 percent which isn’t great but electric likes a long way to come to beat the heavy duty diesels.
