2001 NH TC29
I bought a TC29 yesterday after looking at tractors on line for months. Of course I found this site today after I bought the tractor...go figure.

Here is the scoop. It's a 2001 3x9, 4WD w PS, live PTO, 3 pt/toplink with 829 hours. It has a 7308 loader.

I found it 20 miles from my 44 acres and paid $9700.00 for it delivered. It looks really good and we went over it hard and didn't see any leaks etc. It drove out nicely and all the options worked

So...what do you all think of my find? Steal or deal?

And what do you other TC 29 owners think of them? I wish I would have found this site months ago! arrgghghgh!!

TIA

I'll have to admit I don't know what the "3x9" means. However, I have a cousin who has a TC29D and they're nice tractors. I haven't kept up with prices, but I sure don't think you got hurt.

Welcome a board TC-29dude man:D

If all the advertisement is kosher and no major problem with the rig, then I declare you got yourself a 'sweet deal" :D or in other word "steal'. it is a nice rig, post a few pics so we can critique it a bit further. Just for reference look at the link below, that should bring a smile to your face.:)

3X9 means 3 reverse and 9 forward.
I'd say you got a heck of a deal.

Thanks for all the replies! I feel like I got a great deal and can't wait to
start playing with it when it arrives next week. I bought an old bush hog with it and my first plan is cut my 2.5 acre weed patch.

My land is almost all woods except for the weed patch. I plan to use it for food plots, weed cutting, light logging, grading and whatever fun things I can find to do with the bucket.

I want to add a tooth bar to my bucket. The NH dealer that I bought the tractor from said they run around $400.00 new. Is that right? Are there other options? He did say he gets take offs once in a while so I had him put me on his list.

TC29-dude:

I am not entirely impressed with the "fit" of the NH bolt-over the bolt-on cutting bar as sold by NH. I do have the QA HD 60" bucket on my "29", and I believe the toothbar sold by NH fits their standard duty 60" bucket. I think you could get a better fitting toothbar from another manufacturer. I would use TBN's Search Engine to research toothbars. I recommend both a bolt-on cutting edge and a toothbar for your bucket. Having said what I did, I have used my NH toothbar for some serious material moving and although I am not enamored with the fit; I have no real comlaints about its performance to date. Jay

Hey dude, welcome! I have your tractor in red with hst. Mine's a Case DX29. I've got the QA bucket, made up a toothbar that works for my purposes, cost me about $20 worth of material. A factory one probably works better, but mine is very handy when I need it. I have a grapple and much of the tractor work involves woods stuff -- logs, firewood, brush, etc. I also have some stock, so moving manure out of the barn needs doing now and then. The toothbar helps in everything except moving piles of loose material like mulch, dirt, or gravel. The grapple helps in most things, too. If I had to choose, I'd spend the money on a grapple -- mine was $500.

Where did you get your grappler? I have been searching and so far I can only find really expensive ones.

Mine is an Add-a-grapple made by precision machine in Alabama, I think. Google either one of those and you should find it. I'm at school now and don't remember the details offhand.
