I have a kubota b7100 hst d hydrostatic drive when you go from foward to reverse it it not a smooth action it acts like it is going in to gear and you pop the clutch on a gear driven tractor is an a adjustment some where to make it smooth

Have you checked the foot control to see if the nut is loose that turns the shaft into the transmission housing.

The action on my 15 yr old B9200 is smooth from fwd to neutral to rev.

Failed charge pump will cause weak, sluggish drive for a while the no drive. It won't jerk like explained. Sounds more like one or both of the directional replenishing check valves are sticking. Sticky neutral valve could cause this but I don't know if there are any in this system. Not all tractors or hydrostatic systems use neutral valves, but all have replenishing checks.

Charge pump failure is far more common in that machine. The key shears on the pump and breaks the rotor. I've replaced several but never have replaced a neutral valve. Not that it isn't possible, just not my experience.
