I just pick up a JD4200 that does not run. My question is , how do you make it free wheel(roll)?

On the left side, the range lever will have a Neutral position in addition to the A,B, and C ranges. Neutral is between A and B.

Coupla winters back my fuel solenoid shorted out killing the engine on my JD4300. Figured I'd get my SIL to tow it back up my driveway to the garage where I could work on it. Got the rope on it and then found out that the hydraulic power steering is just that. When the hydraulic pump ain't working you ain't got NO steering, unlike a car where you still have mechanical linkage. Luckily you still have steering brakes however....
