I am selling my 2015 LS xr4046, it has the 16 speed transmission what would be the difference in selling price if it had a hydrostatic transmission. I am trying to figure out how to price it.It’s like new with 257 hrs on it. IMG_1199.jpg

Used HST vs gears would make little difference in price. The difference would be demand. Some people prefer one while others like the other. The HST may cost $1000 extra when new but when buying used you take what's there or move on. If a person REALLY wants HST no amount of price cutting will make him want yours. Don't apologize - it is what it is.

Typically, it's about $1500 to $3000 more for a hydrostatic transmission, depending on Hp of the tractor. In your case, I would estimate a $2200 difference for the hydrostatic. You should research Machinery Pete, Fastline, Tractor house, and other online sites for used tractor prices. From the photo, your tractor looks in excellent condition.

On a used tractor there are many who would prefer a basic gear transmission over a used HST in unknown condition.
I know I would.
So I would see it as a possible advantage. Certainly no disadvantage. Especially in a larger tractor.
