Hey guys. I am trying to get a firm answer on hydro levels for front axle. Can someone confirm how to check the level correctly? Here is what I have been doing while fluid is cold and level in barn: unscrew dipstick, wipe stick dry, then place stick in well and NOT screw in. It is my understanding the fluid is full if the stick is NOT screwed in and level of fluid is to the top of the hash marks on stick and is in operating level if between the hash marks. Is that correct?

Yes! In my Owner's Manual, there is this in bold:

Note: To obtain correct oil level reading do not screw dipstick into axle housing when checking oil level.
