hi, new to the forum with a ? I have a 3016 hst and today i was brush hogging a group of small saplings about 1" size. As i was backing down the hill while cutting them the tractor went to full reverse speed on its own and now the tractor wont stop like it did before when you let off of the pedal forward or reverse it slows down to almost a stop but still moves. I checked everything under the tractor and no sticks or debris around the forward/reverse arm. The tractor only has 117 hrs on it and just did the 100 hrs service. Could the springs be weak already or could it be something else? Love the tractor has done everything ive asked of it and more!Thanks

My 2615 HST treadle pedal setup should be quite similar to yours. When you were looking under the tractor, right below the HST pedals, did you see what looks like a valve with a threaded rod with a lock nut? You should be able to see the rod moving back and forth as you press on either pedal. I'm guessing the nut may have come loose and has caused the problem.
Let us know what you find out.
Thank you deerseeker and aching back. Had a little more time and looked it over better and found that a piece of wood got up in there and bent a tab that the spring and adjusting rod hook to. Bent back the tab as much as i could and adjusted the rod a little and presto good as new. Thanks again

This is what I would have suggested. Unseem limb bent something. Always brush hogging. I had a limb rip off the connector off of my neutral saftey switch. Everything worked fine...................until the tractor wouldn't start after lunch.
