hydro-gear transaxle for 1720 cub cadet

Hi im new to the site, and looks great. I have a 1720 cub and my transaxle went by the wayside. I was wondering if anyone has a used one, or knows where I can get one. It is cub part---717-3048. It appears that they have discontinued buying the complete transaxle. Also if anyone would know what other mowers would have that tranny?

the cubs are made by MTD. do a google search for their site. the might be able to help you. There's a lot of mowers under differant names made by MTD.

Steve, in case you haven't gone this route yet, eBay is a good source for LT/GT parts. I've seen many HG tansaxles there.

Yes I saw one on there also, but at the time mine was doin fine. I bid on it, and thought it got too expensive. Obviously after searching, it was cheap. Missed out, but maybe there will be another one.
