I've searched the WWW over to find people who know anything about these old skid steers..... maybe this is the place.
About a week ago, we bought an old New Holland skid steer, the plate is gone off the frame but the guy said he thinks its an L-325. As far as I can tell, from the service manual that covers the L225 to the L425, it is an L325. So I ordered an operators manual for it.
The operators manual for the L-325 says that the hydro fluid to use is Dextron 3 ATF. The sticker on the side of the tank says use only 10w40 motor oil in the hydro tank.
So, I'm wondering if it is an older L-225 and not an L-325... (or is it an L425?) Do any of you nice folks know if this is the case or, do some L325s take 10w40 and others take dex3 ATF?
It looks every bit as old as 40ish yrs old but, it has no leaks, everything works smooth and strong. The guy that I bought it from had in in his garage for years.... he was tired of people borrowing it.
So for my first post of many, there is my question of the week.
Which NH L-x25 models used 10w40 as hydro fluid?
Thanks for the help!!
