Hydro connections

Hey All... not sure if this has been asked here before but I need some help. I have an 2018 XG3025H with a FEL and backhoe. I'm looking into possibly purchasing a grapple but the added cost of the a remote connection up front could put this project out of range. I was wondering if I could reroute the backhoe (BH) connections to go up front and use it for a grapple? Since the backhoe has the controls mounted directly on it how would I open and close the grapple? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't see why not.
INMO 2 pairs of couplers and 2 lengths of hydraulic hose should do the trick.

Diverter valves would even make the installation more versatile and allow both tools to function otherwise only one at a time could be used.
Mind U diverter valves are somewhat pricy.

Thanks, it seems doable but I'm still not too sure how to control the open and close motion.

How is your BH hydraulics setup? I have a 2019 XG3025, but my BH is set up in a way that 2 hoses from the BH plug into the rear remotes. One remote is a detent valve, the other a return to center. Can easily run hoses from the remote up to the grapple, working the remote valve to open / close the grapple.

If you could post pictures of how your BH hooks up, there is usually a very simple, relatively inexpensive ($300 or so) way to add an open center valve, plumbed into the BH hyd. system. It will operate the grapple while still being able to use the BH. Just not both at the same time.
