Trying to hook up my FEL back on my tractor. 2 hoses will connect but the other 2 wont. The center pin on male connector will not go in to complete hook up. Is there too much pressure in the hose. the center pin of the male connector will not budge. Anyone with any ideas would be a great help. thankx

Welcome to TBN:D

This happens a lot, especially if the loader is/was outside in the sun or it settled on soft ground. You can relieve the pressure by wrapping a rag over the QD nipple and pressing against the loader frame, or loosening it with two wrenches. It only takes a little fluid release to do the job.

I have wrapped the ball end in about 3 or 4 layers of shop towel, make sure you are wearing eye protection, and wack the end of the ball with a wooden hammer handle. Make sure there is no grit on the shop towel or the hammer handle, so as not to damage the surface of the ball. You WILL get some fluid on you even with the shop towel. This has worked for me.

The ultimate solution for this problem is to buy four female quick connects and plug in your male fittings when the loader is off. To catch the seep, put a ziplock bag over the ends and secure it with a small bungee or rubber band.

Surplus Center has them for $3.95 each. 3/8" female QC (Pioneer compatible)

Now Jinman why didn't I think of that?. That would solve the whole temp change problem once and for all:thumbsup:

that ziplock baggie trick is a good one. I slip the 1g bags over my yoke ends of my mower pto shafts at the end of the season after greasing them up.. then secure with a zip tie.. keeps them clean and water/dirt free.. just cut the bag and tie off at the first use.
