I'll grab the ID and OD later this morning.

I believe he got his hose from Lowes in the plumbing Dept. That is where I got mine also. It comes on the roll. My pipe is 1.350. Plus you have the raised rib. I think I used 1 1/4 hose on mine and a heat gun to get it on. I posted this info up a few years ago when mine got torn. I'll try and find the link.

Looks like the ID is 1.25 inches and the OD is 1.75 inches. I don't have my tractor at the moment, so I can't verify....but that's what was on a piece of tubing I found in the garage. Can't imagine what else I would use it for....so I think that's it. The tubing is fiber reinforced poly, meaning it has the tread woven through it in a cross-hatch pattern. I had to heat up either end with a torch to get it soft enough to go over the ends of the metal tubing in the suction line. Before you get it on there, just note the temp rating of the tubing. Several others have used the same tubing and have been fine, but I wouldn't want to run it for hours and hours on extremely hot (100+ degree) days.

Well, the filter and fluid change did nothing for me....I ran it today on flat ground only for about 4 hours and it started bucking and losing power steering again at low idle.....I'm so done with the HST model! I'm looking to trade with the same dealer for a NX5010 Synchro Shuttle and be done with the hot fluid!

Well....I'm not sure it has to do with hot fluid or air still....I can pull the dipstick it and it's not spewing fluid like before. The fluid cooler is getting really hot and keeping the radiator hot as well....almost like it needs a separate fan for the fluid cooler.

If your "bucking" means it feels like the trans is hitting and missing, or like you're jabbing down on the pedal and then releasing it immediately several times in a row, then I suspect you have the same issue with fluid aeration I have. My tractor does that, but only in reverse. I get a "surging" when going forward at times, where the HST wants to just take off on me for a split second.

I really like the HST for its usability. I'll give them a chance to fix it and see what it does. If they can't, I'm going with a shuttle.

Mine only does it going forward...it's either really slow or full speed in low...no in between. It does fine for a few hours then it starts. I do work it hard when I'm cutting as it's usually 18"-24" tall grass and a mix of thick brush.....I just think for my needs, the shuttle would be a better setup. I do really like the ease of the HST and will miss it greatly.

I will be interested in knowing if they fix yours and where the problem is coming from.

I can now my fields and trails for 3 to 4 hours without any issues with the problems you folks are having. My tractor is mowing at 2500 rpms and in medium gear. Have you checked to see if your radiator fins are clogged up? That would cause the fluid to overheat. I blow mine out occasionally using a long tipped air nozzle. I think it is an air suction problem. I hope your Kioti dealer's can figure out the problem for you guys.

I can mow with my NX50 HST for hours without a problem also. It's only under certain conditions that I start experiencing erratic and/or loss of reverse travel. The conditions seems to include steep hilly terrain, a hot and humid day and after several hours of operation. The last time this happened (loss of reverse travel) I decided to proceed mowing in forward only instead of stopping for the day. To my surprise my reverse started to come back after about 20 minutes. I then started pushing the peddle in reverse and reverse came back completely to normal operation and never had an issue for the rest of the day (another hour or so). The next time I use the tractor, another hot and humid say, I did not use the PTO and I never experience a problem. I'm wondering if the problem is going to return now. I will need to mow again at the end of the week and I plan on using my stump grinder over the next few days so we will see what happens.

When my reverse started to come back it started erratic, but when I started pumping the peddle in reverse it started working less erratic and finally back to normal operation.

My shop manager told me the problem was probably in the transmission hydro flow control valves, the valves that makes the tractor go forward and reverse. They are controlled using coils. He said Kioti prefers to replace the entire unit that holds the valves instead of replacing individual parts. He said the next time I experience a problem he will do the R&R under warranty.

Well, after a bunch of reviewing and pricing around, I'm pulling the trigger on a new NX5010 synchro shuttle.....I do a lot of long term mowing and my ground is pretty steep in a bunch of places. This way, I'm not overheating the tranny fluid or worrying about aeration. I really wanted the RX6620 power shuttle but it'll cost a bunch more, I'll need a bigger trailer and also have to put a bigger door on my barn. Fingers crossed that I won't be needing to trade in the near future!
