Hydraulic valve?

1952 Ford 8n
just purchased 1952 ford 8n. about 4 to 6 inches behind the gear shift is what looks like a hydraulic valve of some sort, but it is capped can anyone tell me what that is for /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif?

Can you be more specific? I know 8N's very well, but I'm not sure of what you are refering to.

tomorrow the tractor will be here, I will take a pic, and send it, its right behind the gear shifter, in front of the seat on top of the transmition. I hope that explains it if not I will attach a picture,

thanx for the web site, just opened it and went to the factory specs page. lots of helpful and needed info on this page, hopefully the rest of them will be as informative, thanx
