Hydraulic Top Link for G-Series

Hi,
I have purchased a used 5610 and plan to install a hydraulic top link. The machine is still in the lower 48 and I am in Alaska so I can't measure what the nominal top link length is. I was wondering if anyone has recently installed a top link and would be willing to share the cylinder specs for what they used, assuming it turned out well.
Also did you find it necessary or desirable to install a flow orifice in the hydraulic circuit for top link control?

No info on a hydraulic cylinder. Measured the top link at 19-1/4 to 28-1/2 inches. The 3/4 inch pin hole is 1-3/4 wide. The bracket that the pin goes through is only 1/16 wider.

Looks like I need a cylinder with an 8" stroke and an overall length of about 28".

Just got one from Princess Auto. Make sure you get one with a swivel on both ends like a basic top link and search around for 'top and tilt"info. The tilt cylinder replaces the lift arm and will allow you change the horizontal angle of the blade as well.

Yes, I decided to go with the one that had an 11" stroke. If it ends up being to long it is easier to shorten than stretch.
