Hey guys. I spent the better part of my day adjusting the top link on my box blade scraper. I always shorten the top link up to use my rippers on the initial passes. Then I let is out some to level the box blade to do my scraping. Finally, I lengthen the top link to smooth out the final grade. It seemed to me I spend most of my days adjusting the top link.

How many of you use a dual acting hydraulic top link? I found some for around $200 on Surplus Center. I already have a diverter valve for additional hydraulic that set empty unless I'm using my snow plow. What are your thoughts and suggestions on using a hydraulic top link?

My thought is that you should do it. I'm in the process of adding a hydraulic top link to my New Holland, and a top and tilt cylinder to my Kubota. I too often spend a lot of time making adjustments to those settings, so it'll be a huge time saver for me.

Having hydraulic T&T and working with any type of 3PH grading implement...is like being able to catch a fly with chop sticks...!!

No, it's a GREAT idea. To be able to adjust, and Re-adjust without leaving the seat. I would never be without it again. Yes, it's expensive if you have to buy everything but still worth it (it's an investment that pays you saved time... time and time again).

They are great. Make sure you keep your original one though, it will be really handy for some implement in the future that ties up all your remotes. Even if it's bent...

I put a 3 spool remote on my Kubota L2800. Then I put a cylinder on one arm and a hydraulic top link. I also mounted a cylinder on my scraper blade. It makes hooking up and adjusting smooth as cream. Do it-you will be glad you did I also put a thumb on my bucket-sure makes picking up things easy

Hydraulic top link and side link is the way to go.

In considering hydraulics to do mechanical, screw thread functions, my problem has been repeatability in setting the implement back to where it was on a repetitive basis. Grant you that was years ago and tractors and implements were primitive. If you could control positioning, then throw my hat in the go fer it ring.

I have no idea how anyone does anything with a box blade without it! Hats off to you for spending the day manually adjusting! It will pay for itself FAST even if you only value your time at minimum wage.
