Hello All,

I am looking at a used snowblower for the back of my TC30. It currently has a hydraulic chute rotation but my tractor does not have rear hydraulics. Does anyone know how difficult is it to switch the chute to manual control or what expense there is to add rear hydraulics ?

Lots of threads in that reguard. Added 3 remotes myself with lots of help from the guys in the hydraulics forum. If you have a loader you can steal the hydraulics off that for chute rotation if you don't want a rear remote.

Welcome to TBN:D

There are LOTS of threads on converting them to hydraulic from manual rotation-but not the other way around!

The two best options are:

-Call your NH dealer and price a rear remote kit
-Call the manufacturer of the blower and ask them what a OEM conversion will cost.

The hydraulic rotation is a VERY desirable feature on a blower-you will NEVER regret getting it working. You will however regret taking it off the first time you blow snow on a windy cold night and get covered in snow because you can't crank the chute fast enough!

Wow...never thought I'd see a thread like this, LOL...

Seriously, I'd go with KennyD's "Option 1" of pricing out & purchasing the rear hydraulics... Around here hydraulic rotation is pretty much "standard"...I'd argue you'd reduce the value of your blower by going to manual rotation....

If your "mechanically inclined" I'd suggest just buying the rear hydraulic kit and installing it yourself...

Get the rear hydraulic SCV...You'll love it on the blower and you'll soon find 50 million uses for it (IMO another must have is a hydraulic top link)...

I see from your profile that you don't list having a FEL, so I am assuming you aren't running one. Does your tractor have a three point hitch and NO hydraulic outlets whatsoever??

Oh, yes! welcome to TBN! :)
