Hydraulic tank cap damaged by seat

I will take a picture later on of my 1430 where the center pivots are, and we can at least see what it looks like being greased every eight hours.

What does PT say about greasing that front/upper pivot under that plate? Every 50 hours? Anyway, I wonder if it would help to grease it more often?

Every 8 hours. It's kinda hard to get to on my 425. So much so, that I removed the plate. Someday I'll notch it and put it back.

I was told to grease the 3 center pin fittings every 50 hours.

This is my manual here and it says to grease the upper and lower center pivots every 8 hours, and the upper front under the plate every 50 hrs. Here are the pictures of the manual, and the upper and lower pivot areas. The upper one definitely has grease all around it, and the bottom is hard to see, but it seems like the grease stays more near the top than the bottom?

This comment may not apply to Bob's situation but it does pertain to new seats and damage to tank caps.

I replaced by stock seat with a suspension one. I'd read someone had done that and to gain some headroom, had drilled two new holes in the pivot bar that connects the seat to the tractor. I did the same, about 2-3" higher than the stock holes. It did provide more head room and it did clear the tank cap as long as the tractor was not articulated.

It was just too close to the tank cap for comfort so I took it outside to see what would happen when the center joint was pivoting up and down. It would have torn that cap right off. I ditched the low rider idea and stuck with the stock position. A little less headroom but my tank cap remains intact.

Why are your wheels so far from the machine? Did you reverse the rims?
