Hi Guys i'm trying to find a replacement suction filter for my grey market mini Ex. This is the one that sits in the tank. I'm having a hard time figuring out what size pipe filter to get. It is a tapered pipe thread. On the filter side the first thread shows 1.534 and the deepest thread into the filter comes up as 1.507 on my cheap harbor freight caliper. The inside of the actual pipe is 1.424 and outside is 1.685. It is a YSK filter. I can't get a part # from the dealer for some reason. Thank you.

Is it just me, or does this look like a tank breather filter? So this is on the end of a pipe that sits inside the hydraulic tank immersed in oil and that pipe goes to the hydraulic pump inlet? Tank/housing/pipe and fittings pics?

This is immersed in the oil tank. There is no IHI dealers near me. Closest one is 1-1/2 away.

Measurements would indicate very close to 1 1/4 BSPT or 1 1/4 NPT OD is 1.65 but if the die is not set correctly it would cut undersize.

There are several companies that make 1 1/4 suction strainers. Being a suction strainer if the threads don't seal 100% will not really matter.

The local hydraulic shop said a 1-1/4 NPT threaded on but didn't feel correct. They said its probably British pipe thread. Does anyone know where I can get a 1.25" BPT suction strainer? It's kinda odd in USA

Anyone have any leads?

Did the npt thread want to stay on? If so use some proper thread sealant and screw it on. Its only a suction filter so wont leak.
