Hydraulic Return to tank port on 3016?

Hello from Michigan! I have a thread in the hydraulic forum but I thought some of you folks may have a better idea on this. I am researching adding remotes to my 3016. With a power beyond system you need to have a line going back to the tank. I am wondering if there are any "to tank" ports near the back of the tractor? I thought I saw one under the seat near where the 3 point restriction valve is at and I see a plug of some sort near the top link in the casting? I am aware I can "t" into the existing but I would rather go directly to the tank.

I've wondered about that plug as well. The service manual only describes it as a plug. I can't find anyone who can tell me what it is. All I know is that if you remove it, everything is high and dry inside.

The plug that is in the casting about 4" forward from the top pin location of the top link can be used as a return to tank point. You can see the female QD with the orange plug. This is for my return line for my PHD down pressure kit.

Thanks, Can I also ask where you returned your stacked remote valve? I assume it is fed from the loader PB then PB out back to the tractor hydraulic block. Did you send the return to tank for that valve back to a t in the hydraulic block or somewhere else?

Actually those are a stack of 3 diverters connected to the optional single OEM rear remote valve. So no feeder lines involved for a control valve other than the OEM lines to the diverters that were originally to the OEM rear couplers, and those lines are now connected to the left side of the diverters.

You can run a return line to the tank port of the hydraulic block. The top plugged port of the 3 ports.

Depending on what you are going to use the valves for can make a difference as to what type of valves you will want to use.

The OEM valve must be the last valve in the power beyond loop then? Thanks this gives me more to think about,lol, using diverters is an interesting option to keep from having to position all the levers. You must be using flow restrictors on your T&T?

Yes, having 4 integrated levers would be difficult on my tractor. As far as if the valve is before or after the 3pt, I don't really know, never paid attention. Typically I thought that the 3pt was always last? :confused3:

I do use flow restrictors, it is really about the only way to be able to make "real" adjustments with the hydraulic links. Other wise you spend too much time feathering trying to make fine adjustments. With the flow restrictors, adjustments are much slower and smoother to make. :thumbsup:
