Hydraulic Restrictor Orifice

I just bought 2 blank fittings (1/4) from the bobcat dealer for $3.20 each. the #1404-4-4-blank. Here is a site with those fittings:

Well, those fittings didn't work. Come to find out I have JIC fittings on the grapple and need a 3/8 male to 3/8 female JIC restrictor.

This may sound funny but in a pinch I've used washers for the same reason on customers machines until I can get back and install the correct orifice.
