If the cyl is paralleled with the hyd motor and a motor valve, it will not hold pressure.

Aside from not having a large assortment of fittings, playing with this stuff for purposes of experimentation is always so darn messy! Plus the high cost of oil. In this sense, the electrical world I live in with all my alligator clip leads is so much easier to try stuff.

Of course, and if we only had a good hyd test bench with all the pump, motors ,valves and fittings, etc to try different things, we could learn so much more.
