I blew an hydraulic hose on my 772 loader, I replaced the hose but can't figure out where to add the hydraulic fluid.
Any help out there?

like the adult undergarments... 'depends'

Does the tractor use a seperate pump like a front mount crank stinger, or is it plumbed off tractor hyds using a spool off the hyd cover.

And to narrow it down even more.. if it uses a front pump, that pump has 2 hoses.. a suction and a pressure. pressure goes to the valve controlling the loader.. suction comes from the oil sump.

oil sump can be the frame of some loaders, or the tractors hyd sump. AND YES.. even if not using a front pump, you can find a way to use the tractor sump as a holding tank ..

so:

A, loader frame

or

B, tractor hyd sump... which is the rear and hyd sump together. ( trans is seperate. )

if you are still unsure.. answer this. front pump or not?

if no front pump... it will be the tractor sump.

if a front pump, it is PROBABLY frame or a side tank, but COULD be tractor sump.

Well here are some photos, these are the only places I can see for adding fluid.

This is my first tractor of which I bought about a month ago so I am totally illiterate, gotta learn sometime.

pic 1 is power steering resv... so is pic 2, pic 3 is engine, pic 4 shows the trans fill by the shifters.. and finally shows us where your loader is getting pressure from.. your top cover.. menaing it is using the rear /hyd sump of the tractor... finally now getting some where.

so far, you have missed a fill. :)

look behind the seat on the right side top of the rear end for another fill plug similar to the one by the shifter.

Make sure you don't overfill!

Make sure you don't overfill!

And after you run it a while, go back and check the fluid level again. May need a bit more to top it off.
