Hydraulic Question for L3200 Plow

I throw this out to the experts here.

Why would i have to add a 3rd function valve to run a SSQA plow?

On my B there was just separate hoses that hooked into the curl circuit.

Is there a reason why on my L3200 I could have hoses made to fun the angle feature on the plow same as the B?

Do I need the front 3rd function valve because of a hydraulic issue?
