hydraulic pump

Hi I think my pump for the loader may be on its way out and I have a two stage hydraulic pump was for a log splitter can I use this to run the loader .Your thoughts

It would help to know what loader or tractor you're referring to with a faulty hyd pump. Keep in mind many hyd pumps over the yrs have been replaced to determine that the pump replaced wasn't bad. What type diagnostics has been performed on this machine?

its a small JD 300 went from cutting grass to a loader, the pump turns by the hydro static transmission its just a regular small pump
